Services Provided: Bamboo Removal, Site Clearance, Domestic Tree Surgery

Location: Billericay, Essex

We were recently contacted by a domestic client in Billericay to carry out the removal of a large bamboo area, which had grown to approximately 4 metres in height. Our team of tree surgeons in Billericay handled the job safely and efficiently.

Due to the bamboo being in very close proximity to the house, paving, and boundary fencing, careful planning and the use of the right equipment were essential to ensure the work was completed safely and without causing any damage.

Our Approach

To remove the bamboo effectively, we used our Arb Digger fitted with a specialist root ripping tool. This allowed us to carefully extract the root ball and underlying root system, helping to prevent regrowth and ensuring a thorough clearance.

We also used track mats throughout the job to protect the lawn and minimise any ground disturbance. This meant we could carry out the work efficiently while keeping the surrounding area in good condition.

Safety First

As with all of our projects, safety was a top priority. Daily team briefings were carried out to ensure everyone was clear on the plan of work and aware of any potential risks on site.

A full method statement, along with our site-specific risk assessment (SSRA) and insurance documentation, was provided to the client before work began.

The Result

The bamboo was safely removed over the course of two days, with the root system carefully extracted to reduce the chances of regrowth.

The Outcome for our Client

With the bamboo removed, the client can now replant the area and flower beds, making better use of their garden space without the concern of invasive growth returning.
